Hey everyone! My name is John and I want to welcome you to my website. I created DroidLessons.com to be a helpful resource for new and existing Android users. It is my hope that the tutorials and lessons here will help everyone get the most out of their Android experience.
So, a little bit about myself… I’m 28 years old and I live in beautiful Naples, Florida. I have a career in IT Management during the day and I run this website in my spare time. I started obsessing about the Android platform as soon as I got my HTC EVO phone in mid-2010. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with learning all that I can about the Android OS and sharing that knowledge with my friends and family.
When I’m not working or running this website, I can also be found teaching for an Adult Community Education center. What does he teach you may be asking yourself? Take a good guess! That’s right. I teach Adults how to use their Android devices. I did this for several months before coming up with the idea to create this website. It was only after I taught this class that I realized how much fun it was to educate people on all the capabilities of their smartphones. I also realized there were a lot of people out there who were fearful of their smartphones! I found that by walking them through some quick lessons they quickly grasped how simple and enjoyable their Android phones could be. I also came to the realization that I was teaching the same lessons over and over again… I realized it would make more sense to create video tutorials and share them with a wider audience. And that is how DroidLessons.com was founded!
