I tried following the advice above (both in the basic settings and by downloading the App2SD app) but my SAMSUNG S3 keeps reporting that this facility is not available on this phone.

Any ideas? (I am not confident enough to be able to root my phone)

I am running into the same issue that Nicole is having. Some apps will move, while others won’t.

Unfortunately, not all apps are designed to be moved over to the sd card. If the designer/programmer of the app did not build that feature in, you won’t be able to move the app over to the SD card. The good news is that most apps nowadays are being made to allow you to move them over to the SD card.

absolutely none of the apps on my droid razr m have the option “move to SD” and a bunch of the apps that i download all pretty much just direct me to click that button. I need a way to bypass the system option and have the app do it for me

Question: Where do they move to? When I inspect the contents of my SDCARD1 (which is the removable one) there is no directory of any apps. I noticed that Android seems to subdivide the internal memory into into an SDCARD0 and I found while I thought the MyBackUp app was making backups and saving them to “external SD card”, it turns out that it was actually a system folder (i.e. I didn’t create it) on the local internal storage, NOT my actual removable SD card. Is it possible that that’s what’s happening when I do “move to SD card”?

Hi my name is Hart Smith and I bought a brand new samsung galaxy rugby LTE last year and when I got it I noticed that there was not very much space for apps so I bought a brand new SanDisk 32g micro sd card and put it in and thought that I would have lots of space so I download some games and it said that I need to delete some storage to successful download this app so I did that and when I was doing that I saw that my sd card was still very empty but it had a couple of songs on it so with this problem I searched Google for help and seen this page and tryed lots of multiple apps and every time I could not find the move to sd card button so I looked in settings for what this said and still could not find the button so here I am asking if you guys no what to do?
