I'm a huge Android fan and also the founder of the DroidLessons website. I started obsessing about the Android platform as soon as I got my HTC EVO phone in mid-2010. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with learning all that I can about the Android OS and sharing that knowledge with my friends and family.

I have a HTC EVO 3D and I want to know if I can have a screen-lock password, but without having to pull the ring first to unlock the screen. Is this possible? I just feel that having to unlock the phone, then unlock it again, is just too much of a hassle.

    John:

My old job set up a pin on my droid. Now that I don’t work there anymore, I want it off my phone. I followed your video, but you did not say how to remove the pin after it is set. Please not that my “None” and “Pattern” options are greyed out … what should I do?
