Thanks for the help-I was able to view the files on my Droid 3 on my laptop with the WebSharing LIte app, but I can’t find my Gallery/photos? I need to get those from the droid onto the laptop without emailing each and every one, how can I do that? THanks,-Jen

I think WiFi file transfer app is better because you can transfer multiple files versus one at a time with the free version of this app.

Great little app. I’ve been using File Expert’s ‘share’ function to do the samething. Aren’t they essentially the same?

John, It seems easy to transfer phone to PC, but how does one get files from the PC to the phone?

      Hi Alvin,
I recommend Feem WiFi on Google Play which is actually much better at two way file transfers over Wi-Fi.

Thank you SO much! So much better than emailing stuff to myself when I can’t find my cable. It’s so nice to have a great resource like your site for those of us newbies.

My question is this, I recently tried another software of the same nature (won’t specify a name, I’m not sure what the forum rules are) my problem was when moving a large file such as a movie or something similar it interrupted the download unexpectedly and would not resume, it made me start again, will this app allow you to resume a download once it has been started and stopped again?

Thanks, John. Even for an ‘oldie’ like me, with a new tablet, that worked perfectly. But as someone said, it is a bit slow doing one file at a time.

    mk October 27, 2012 at 5:12 pm .

with WSLite everything works as you said. However.. the most annoying thing is.. you have to transfer 1 file at a time.. If u got 5 or more files, the trouble of connecting data cable is far less than transferring them via wslite. I was looking for something that might solve this problem… If I get it WILL LET U GUYS KNOW.. If u already found something PLZ SHARE..

To everyone saying you can only transfer one file at a time there is a way around that. Create a new folder, and put as many files in that folder as you want that need to be transferred. Then select that folder for transfer and every file in that folder will be transferred as a .zip file. Extract the .zip and all of your files are there. I just did this and transferred about 35 pics at once.

I have installed websharinglite with the intention of loading pics from my android to my pc. My problem occurs when I drag an image into my photo editing software. The image cannot be opened. When I right click on the icon image in the software and open properties the message is: “this file has no camera properties”. It also is is a png file and I can’t see how to convert that to jpeg – although the original thumbnail of the pic while still in the websharinglite window showed it as a jpeg.
any ideas on how to open the image in my photo editing software?
